Cygames Inc., the developer of the popular Umamusume: Pretty Derby horse girl raising simulator, is once again partnering with the Breeders’ Cup World Championships for its 2025 iteration.
Like last year, Cygames will be the title sponsor for the Cygames Breeders’ Cup Sprint, with its logo featured on the race’s starting gate and participating horses’ saddle towels. The US$2 million dirt track-set race, a 1,200-meter affair for male and female horses of at least three years of age, is scheduled to take place on November 1, the last day of the 2025 Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
In a press release, the Breeders’ Cup said that the continued partnership “reflects Cygames’ continuing commitment to the Breeders’ Cup, which includes expanded media coverage and new joint marketing initiatives designed to engage global audiences.”
Earlier this year, Cygames announced a partnership with the 151st Kentucky Derby.
The 2025 Breeders’ Cup World Championships will begin on October 31 at California’s Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. The event focuses on Thoroughbred horse racing and was first held in 1984.
