It’s been 25 years since the first campers met their untimely end at Camp Blackwood in Camp Blood, launching a clown slasher franchise that includes over a dozen low-budget entries.
Future Video has partnered with the original producer David Sterling of Sterling Entertainment to celebrate the silver anniversary with Camp Blood Christmas.
Abandon all ho-ho-hope with the trailer below.
In the spinoff, the infamous Camp Blackwood has a new owner intent on leaving its murderous history behind by turning it into a Christmas attraction for families. As new employees start showing up they learn the killer clown of Camp Blood may not be ready to be forgotten.
The film will premiere at the Capitol Theatre in Cleveland, OH this Saturday, October 25.
It will be released on red and green VHS ($29.99) on November 11 and Blu-ray ($19.99) on November 18, both of which are available to pre-order from Future Video.
Writer-director Matthew Dilts-Williams makes his feature debut on the film, which also marks the first feature production from Future Video.
“I remember renting Camp Blood from my local Hollywood Video many years ago and thinking it had to have been made by someone with a passion for horror movies,” says Dilts-Williams. “Never did I imagine I would fulfill a lifelong ambition to write and direct a movie by creating the newest entry in the franchise, but it feels appropriate. It’s been a dream having the freedom to put my stamp on the franchise and make a Christmas slasher to entertain audiences for many holiday seasons to come.”
Alyssa Wexler, Adelle Tucke, Allison Egan, James L. Edwards, David C. Hayes, Ian Glassford, Loushaunce, Jeremy White, Matt Jefferson, Ondi Kaye, Mark Mackaye and Jessa Jupiter Flux star.
