Former Philadelphia Art Museum CEO files lawsuit over termination
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The former director and CEO of the Philadelphia Art Museum, Sasha Suda, has filed a lawsuit following her abrupt termination last week.
Suda alleges she was dismissed without basis and claims a “corrupt and unethical faction” of the museum’s Board of Trustees opposed her efforts to modernize the institution.

She is seeking two years’ worth of severance pay and additional damages, and has requested a jury trial.
In response to the lawsuit, a museum spokesperson told Action News the claims are “without merit.”
Suda had been in the third year of a five-year contract and led a change campaign that included rebranding the museum and unveiling a new logo.
