A December 10 Netflix release date for Record of Ragnarok III has been revealed with a third trailer and a visual.
It was also announced that GLAY‘s “Dead Or Alive,” which features in the trailer, is the anime’s opening theme song.
Record of Ragnarok (Shumatsu no Valkyrie) is based on the Coamix-published manga by Shinya Umemura (writing), Ajichika (art), and Takumi Fukui (composition), which began in 2017 and will get its 26th volume on November 20, 2025 in Japan. Viz Media describes the manga as such:
The valkyrie Brunhilde has convinced the gods to give humanity a chance at redemption through combat in the Valhalla arena. Seeking a quick end to the proceedings, the gods present their first fighter, Thor, the Norse god of thunder. Facing him is a warrior said to be the strongest in the history of mankind, the legendary general Lü Bu!

The anime’s first season premiered in 2021. Season 2 was released in 2023 in two parts.
The Record of Ragnaro manga is serialized in Monthly Comic Zenon.
