The dark fantasy yuri TV anime ROLL OVER AND DIE is set to begin airing in January 2026. A main trailer and main visual were also released.

ROLL OVER AND DIE, or ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword!, is based on the light novel series written by Kiki, which is published under Micro Magazine’s GC Novels label. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the premise as such:
Flum Apricot was never meant to be a hero. Despite zero stats across the board and a power she can’t even use, she somehow finds herself included in a party of heroes. But Flum’s life hits rock bottom when the party’s renowned sage, Jean Inteige, decides that the useless girl is dead weight, and arranges to have her sold into slavery. Tossed to monsters to be feasted upon for her master’s entertainment, Flum makes the desperate choice to reach for a cursed weapon…and something new awakens within her. A grimdark tale about one woman’s blood-soaked quest to reclaim her life!
The light novels started in 2018, the same year the web novel version of the story debuted on Shosetsuka ni Naro. After five volumes, the sixth was published as a digital-only release in August 2025.
kinta illustrated the first four volumes, while the following releases have kodamazon as illustrator with kinta credited as original character designer. Both have the original character designer credit for the anime.
ROLL OVER AND DIE has a manga as well. The series’ Japanese title is “Omae gotoki ga Mao ni Kateru to omo na” to Yusha Party o Tsuihosareta node, Oto de Kimama ni Kurashitai.
