Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein isn’t the only monster coming to life today, as Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls writer-director Andrew Bowser has unleashed Frankenbabes from Beyond the Grave.

Streaming below, the 10-minute horror-comedy is executive produced by Dead Meat’s James A. Janisse and Chelsea Rebecca, who also cameo as newscasters.

Drawing inspiration from the tongue-in-cheek, practical effects-driven works of Frank Henenlotter and Stuart Gordon, the short plays like Frankenhooker meets Re-Animator with a modern twist.

In the film, Frankenscience and religious ideology reanimate a cohort of recently deceased fetishists to create the perfectly subservient woman, only to unleash hell on the patriarchy.

Jimmi Simpson (“Westworld”) and Dana Ashbrook (“Twin Peaks”) star alongside Penny Barber, Little Puck, Bunni Black, Savannah Solo, Cheyenne Wise, Stephanie Michelle, Melissa Drew, Hex Hypoxia, and Colorado Brown.

Frankenbabes from Beyond the Grave was an official selection at Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, Panic Fest, FilmQuest, Screamfest, and more.
