Posted on: November 4th, 2025

Mike Flanagan’s series adaption of Stephen King’s Carrie has wrapped filming.

The filmmaker confirmed the wrap via a touching Instagram post, showing his set chair, with it baring the signatures of the show’s primary cast.

Sharing his thoughts on how the project progressed, Flanagan said:
“Our last day of filming on CARRIE. This has been one of the best experiences of my career, one of the very best ensembles I’ve ever worked with, and already one of my favourite projects ever. Cannot wait for you guys to see what we made.”

Cast and crew echoed Flanagan’s sentiments in the comments, as well as making their own social media posts.

Curse of Chucky star Summer H. Howell is playing the titular role of Carrie White, alongside other cast members including Matthew Lillard, Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, Arthur Conti, Heather Graham, and Katee Sackhoff.

Flanagan is listed as the director of Episode One, but is not expected to direct all eight episodes of the Amazon MGM show.
According to an official log-line:
“In a bold and timely reimagining of the story of misfit high-schooler Carrie White, who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public High School, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.”

Based on the debut novel of the same name by Stephen King, Flanagan’s series will be the fourth on-screen adaption of Carrie.

A premiere window for the show is currently unknown, but it is highly likely Carrie will debut in 2026.
