‘Silent Hill 2’ Xbox Series Rating Appears on the ESRB Website

As always, it’s not a question of if Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 will be headed to the Xbox Series, but when. And while we don’t have the answer just yet, the clue that it’ll be happening sooner rather than later comes from the Entertainment Software Rating Board website, where Silent Hill 2 has now been rated for the Xbox Series.

Obviously, the game has been rated Mature, as it was when it was released last year for the PlayStation 5 and Steam. The description on the ESRB website sadly doesn’t indicate whether or not we’ll be getting the elusive “Born From a Wish” DLC, but does contain the word “sh*t”, so at least that’s something.

If you’ve never played Silent Hill 2 before (which you definitely should), the game centres around James Sunderland, who  arrives in the town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his late wife Mary, who had been suffering from an illness and died three years before. Upon arriving in the town, James finds it inhabited by horrific creatures, with one known as Pyramid Head taking a particular interest in him.

Upon release, the remake garnered praise and accolades from fans and critics, including our own Aaron Boehm.

Currently, Bloober Team are working on a remake of the original Silent Hill.
