Yen Press Licenses Four Child Life Novel Series for JY for Kids Imprint

Yen Press’ JY for Kids middle grade imprint has announced the license acquisition of the Four Child Life light novel series. The first volume will be released on April 14, 2026.

Four Child Life is written by Himari Hino and illustrated by Oriko Sakura. It was first published on October 15, 2018 and has released 21 volumes as of July 2025. The light novel series won the 6th Kadokawa Tsubasa Bunko Novel Award.

A manga adaptation began serialization in Kadokawa’s Comptiq magazine on February 10, 2021 and has released five tankobon volumes as of July 2025.

Yen Press describes the main synopsis of Four Child Life as:

I thought I was all alone, but I’m actually a quadruplet?!

My name is Mifu Miyabi. For the past twelve years, I thought I had no family—no parents, no siblings. Little did I know, my world was about to get turned upside down by not one, not two, but three identical sisters showing up out of nowhere! Sure, we all grew up leading separate lives, but now we have to figure out how to live together under one roof. It may be hard to tell us apart just by looking, but we’re much more different than you’d think. This is how our time as a family begins!

JY for Kids current novel series lineup includes Horror Collector, Catalog of Wonders, Phantom Thief Red, among other titles.
