Although her career has slowed considerably, Megan Fox is still a bankable name. The actress won a plethora of genre fans with 2009’s Jennifer’s Body, and bolstered that reputation with a critically lauded turn in 2021’s Till Death.

Now, we’re hearing that Fox will not only return to franchise work, but will once again broach the horror genre.

Announced at the recent New York Comic-Con, reliable sources have since confirmed that Megan Fox has joined the cast of Blumhouse’s sequel Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

Fox will provide the voice work for the character Toy Chica, one of the series’ iconic animatronic villains. Toy Chica is a feminized version of the original’s animatronic chicken Chica, and has since become a fan favourite of the game franchise. So, will Fox deliver when tasked with voicing such a beloved character? We’re looking forward to finding out.

Fox joins a cast that includes returning Five Nights at Freddy’s actors Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard. Alongside Fox, newcomers to the series include Skeet Ulrich, Mckenna Grace, Teo Briones, and Freddy Carter.

Director Emma Tammi and screenwriter Scott Cawthon return to helm the sequel, and following the enormous success of the 2023 original, hopes for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 are sky-high. It’s undeniable that Blumhouse Productions are in dire need of a hit, so can FNaF work its magic once more, and save the studio from a completely disastrous 2025? Only time will tell…
