Kadokawa announced that it will be hosting two special stage events for the upcoming dark fantasy TV anime series Sentenced to Be a Hero. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan in January 2026, with the first episode being a 60-minute extended “special version.” Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide.

Sentenced to Be a Hero will premiere its first episode at Lucca Comics & Games 2025 in Italy on October 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Auditorium San Girolamo. Event dates and details are subject to change. More information can be found on the official Lucca Comics & Games 2025 website.
In addition, a special stage event for the anime will be hosted in South Korea’s Anime x Game Festival 2025. The stage event will take place on December 7, 2025 at KINTEX from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, with voice actor Jun Fukushima, who voices the character Tsav, confirmed for an appearance on stage. Yen Press licensed the light novels for English release under its Yen On imprint, describing the main synopsis as:
