An anime adaptation of The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, But an Appraiser (Provisional)! light novel series has been announced with an April 2026 release window.
Makoto Hoshino (Banished From The Hero’s Party Season 1) is directing at Studio Flad. Mihoko Okawa and Yoshie Matsumoto are the character designers, while Megumi Shimizu (Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter) is the series composer.
The cast includes:
• Hisako Kanemoto as Hibiki Manabe
• Shizuka Ito as Emalia
• Kenta Miyake as Claude
• Lamalfa Michelle Tateyama as Lilian
• Yukina Shuto as Vene

The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, But an Appraiser (Provisional)! (Saikyo no Shokugyo wa Yusha demo Kenja demonaku Kanteishi (Kari) rashii desu yo?) started as a web novel in 2016 before the start of the Alphapolis-published light novel series in 2017. There is also a manga, which Alphamanga describes as such:
Hibiki, a high school student who was suddenly transferred to another world, wanders alone in a vast grassland of a fantasy world where monsters inhabit. All he has are non-combat skills such as “Appraisal”! From a hopeless situation, he is saved by encounters, and his all-powerful abilities blossom! An another world adventure tale of miraculous reversal cheats burst forth!
The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, But an Appraiser (Provisional)! story is created by Atekichi, with Akira Shigaraki serving as the light novels’ illustrator. The anime was announced on the same date as the eighth volume’s release (October 20, 2025 JST).
