Execution Compilation Film Features Hitsujibungaku Ending Theme in Latest Trailer

The latest trailer for the Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution anime compilation film has been released, featuring Hitsujibungaku’s ending theme song “more than words” from the TV anime’s second season. The compilation will begin screening in Japan on November 7, 2025, while GKIDS will begin screening it in North America starting December 5, 2025.  

Crunchyroll and Sony announced plans to screen the compilation anime film in “select international regions” earlier this October. The company stated that it will premiere the compilation in the U.K. and Ireland on November 14, 2025. It will also be released in other regions in EMEA, Latin America, and APAC .

Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution is a compilation of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s “Shibuya Incident Arc” and the first two episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1, before it premieres in Japan in January 2026. It is also known in Japan as (Gekijouban Jujutsu Kaisen “Shibuya Jihen Tokubetsu Henshuban” x “Shimetsu Kaiyu Senko Joei.”)

Jujutsu Kaisen’s third season staff consisted of Shota Goshozono (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 director) as director, Hiroshi Seko (since Season 1) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Yosuke Yajima (new) and Hiromi Niwa (new) as character designers, Yosuke Takada (new) as assistant director, Teppei Ito (since Season 1) as compositing director, Eiko Matsushima (since Season 2) as color designer, Junichi Higashi (since Jujutsu Kaisen 0) as background art director, and Yoshimasa Terui (since Season 1, solo credit since Season 2) as music composer. MAPPA was in charge of the animation production. 

The anime’s first season and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 were directed by Sunghoo Park (God of High School, Ninja Kamui), with Goshozono taking over as director afterwards.

Meanwhile, the voice cast returning from previous seasons include: 

  • • Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori
  • • Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro
  • • Daisuke Namikawa as Choso
  • • Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu

The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen aired from late 2020 to early 2021 for 24 episodes and was followed by the prequel movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in December 2021. The second season was broadcasted from July to December 2023, with the latter “Shibuya Incident Arc” airing a few weeks after the initial “Hidden Inventory Arc.” Crunchyroll is currently streaming all the previous seasons and Jujutsu Kaisen 0

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the manga series by Gege Akutami, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 5, 2018 to September 30, 2024. A total of 30 tankobon volumes were released. A short spinoff sequel manga titled Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo was released in the same magazine on September 8, 2025, with Akutami serving as writer and Yuji Iwasaki as the artist. 

The four-chapter predecessor manga, now known as Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released in 2017 and adapted into a 2021 anime film.
