On the one hand, just weeks before Halloween is probably too early to start talking about Christmas movies. On the other hand, we just released the trailer for Mike P. Nelson’s Silent Night, Deadly Night earlier today, so that ship has already sailed. I’m just the messenger!
Lifetime just announced their lineup of brand new original holiday movies they’ll be releasing for Christmas this year, and while most of them are holiday rom-coms, one of them is a little bit different. It’s a Christmas-themed thriller titled Do You Fear What I Fear – come on, that’s a winning title – and the first image was released by The Wrap this afternoon.
In Do You Fear What I Fear, “When Claire (Ciarra Hanna) lands her dream job in the city, she believes she finally escaped her Christmas hometown. That’s until holiday decorations start appearing in her home unannounced, each one with a message from someone close to her. The thriller must decide who the Secret Santa truly is and escape her haunted holiday.”
Do You Fear What I Fear premieres Thursday, December 4.
The “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” programming takeover begins November 29 on Lifetime.
