While you wait for the full Silent Night, Deadly Night trailer — coming down the chimney very soon — IGN premiered a bloody new teaser.

The fresh take on the 1984 horror cult classic slashes into theaters unrated on December 12 from Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting.

Written and directed by Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn, V/H/S/85), the reboot has drawn comparisons to “Dexter” and Venom.

When Billy witnesses his parents’ grisly murder on Christmas Eve at the hands of Santa, it ignites a lifelong mission to spread holiday fear. Every Christmas, he dons the jolly red suit and delivers a blood-soaked massacre to feed his twisted sense of justice.

Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) and Ruby Modine (Happy Death Day) star with Mark Acheson (Elf), David Lawrence Brown (The Grudge), and David Tomlinson (“Fellow Travelers”).

Nick Junkersfeld (Wrong Turn) serves as cinematographer. Blitz//Berlin (The Void, Psycho Goreman) composed the score.
