Police say 22-year-old Aiyona Reddon, of Burlington Township, turned herself in to authorities.

She is accused of striking 32-year-old Nathaniel Turner while he was riding his scooter near Oakland Street and Norman Avenue around 4 a.m. before driving off. Turner was dragged underneath the vehicle and left critically injured.

Turner remains hospitalized with a head injury, broken ribs, and a broken leg. His mother, Marilyn Turner, said he had to be intubated.

“It’s a shame. It’s pitiful. I’m hurt,” she told Action News.

Family members say Turner had just bought the scooter to commute to a new job he was scheduled to start the day after the crash.
