Actors Will Brittain (Haunt, Kong: Skull Island) and Katherine Hughes (The Dead Thing) have been set to star in cosmic horror movie The Crawling, Deadline reports today.
The Crawling will mark the feature debut by writer/director writer-director Christian Everhard.
It follows “a disgraced cop (Brittain) and his therapist wife (Hughes) as they escape to a remote cabin to repair their fractured lives, though their search for peace unravels into paranoia and terror when an unspeakable force begins to tear them apart.”
Robert Lewis Stephenson (Landman) also stars.
If the phrase “cosmic horror’ isn’t enticing enough, The Crawling also boasts creature effects from SFX wizards Steve Wang (Bill & Ted Face the Music, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master) and Cleve Gunderman (I Am Legend, The Cabin in the Woods) under their Onyx Forge banner.
“This was an exciting and ambitious shoot,“ Everhard told us. “We took some big swings, and the largely Michigan-based crew brought this wild and unsettling vision to life. I was raised on horror films and can’t wait to show the world the madness we created.”
Everhard produces alongside Nick Donadio and Ryan March. Mike Jasper served as co-producer.
The first image of Will Brittain’s character certainly looks bloody. Stay tuned for more on The Crawling.
