LIVE: Watch the ‘Homecoming 250: Victory at Sea’ concert

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Due to the impending storm this weekend, the City of Philadelphia is moving the 250th anniversary celebration of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps “Victory at Sea” concert to a livestream format on 6abc.com.

The event will now be streamed live from the Temple Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Sunday on 6abc.com and our family of streaming apps.

The concert will feature Philadelphia’s own Patti LaBelle, the U.S. Navy Band, the U.S. Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps, and special guests including Justin Guarini and Rhonda Vincent & The Rage.

Retired U.S. Marine officer, comedian, and actor Rob Riggle will serve as host.

Access to the Temple Performing Arts Center is limited to invited guests only. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Victory at Sea is part of a week-long celebration honoring the 250th anniversary of both the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.

The concert isn’t the only celebration affected by the weather this weekend. On Saturday, organizers announced the cancellation of the Homecoming 250’s All Veterans Reunion Picnic.

The picnic was originally scheduled from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 12th, but due to the forecasted weather and high winds, the organizers made the decision to prioritize safety and cancel the event.
