2026 has been announced as the release year for the upcoming Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance TV anime.
The show also received its first key visual, which depicts a rifle-toting female character in a ruined city. The head of a giant creature, presumably slain by the character, can be seen behind her, the majority of its body submerged under water. There’s a teaser video to go with it too.

Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance is the latest anime in the Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA franchise. It was announced last December with a new manga titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS, which debuted in April 2025.
Takayuki Hamana (Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA Reflection, Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA Detonation) is directing the new anime at Seven Arcs.
Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA was spun off from the eroge series Triangle Heart. The franchise primarily concerns the titular Nanoha Takamachi, who initially becomes a magical girl to help a mage find the so-called Jewel Seeds. Nanoha is nine at the start, and has been depicted at older ages in later titles; Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS kicks off with Nanoha being a 13-year-old teenager.
The original Magical Girl Lyrical NANOHA TV anime, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo (Monogatari Series and Puella Magi Madoka Magica chief director), aired from October to December 2004. The most recent entry was the 2018 movie Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation.
