‘Stitch Head’ Trailer – Forgotten Monsters Band Together in Animated Adaptation of Kid’s Book

Briarcliff Entertainment has unveiled the official trailer for animated feature film Stitch Head, described as “Frankenstein meets Monsters, Inc..”

The family adventure is getting a wide theatrical release just in time for Halloween on October 29, 2025.

Stitch Head is based on the first story in author Guy Bass’s book series, now six books deep, and “brings to life a quirky, heartwarming tale full of monster mayhem, unexpected friendships, and cinematic thrills.”

It follows the story of a small, forgotten creature living in a long-abandoned castle. Awoken by a Mad Professor, Stitch Head is tasked with protecting the professor’s other wildly inventive creations from the suspicious townspeople of Grubbers Nubbin.

In the brand new trailer below, first shared by Collider, the forgotten creatures unite to save Stitch Head when he ventures out into the town on his own.

Directed by and adapted for the screen by Steve Hudson, the voice cast includes Asa Butterfield (Flux GourmetChoose or Die), Joel Fry (In the EarthCruella), Alison Steadman (“Inside No. 9“), Rob Brydon (Barbie), Fern Brady, Tia Bannon, and Jamali Maddix.

Stitch Head is Frankenstein meets Monsters, Inc., an inspired blend of spooky, funny, and heartwarming storytelling with visually stunning animation by Assemblage Entertainment that will captivate audiences of all ages,” said Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Briarcliff Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to bring families together for a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Guy Collins, Chairman of GFM Animation, added, “Stitch Head is a delightful & funny family film and a terrific credit to the work of Steve, Sonja, Mark, and the whole team. Bringing on board a brilliant U.S distributor such as Tom is one of the final pieces of the puzzle, and we are confident that we are on track to deliver a global hit.”

The PG-rated, family-friendly Gothic tale has a 91-minute runtime.

Producers include Sonja Ewers and Mark Mertens. Executive producers include Adam Nagle, Mark Rau, Guy Collins, Tom Ortenberg, Ronnie Exley, Jeremy Ross, and Oli Strong.
