NEW YORK — Monday is a big day of premieres on ABC. The new season of “The View” began and later “Tamron Hall” returns with brand new episodes.
“It’s season seven. We’re celebrating my 55th birthday. We have one of the biggest giveaway shows, tied into my birthday, the up and coming fashion designer series,” Hall said. “So I’ll be super excited about it.”
She says her show has a different vibe than others.
“I think the vibe is family. I think it’s real conversation, real stories. We have some of the biggest celebrities in the world, but at the end of the day, they are people with a story,” Hall said.
“We also understand that real people and real stories matter more. And that’s what the show is. It’s a little bit of everything, but it all falls under the umbrella of a good conversation.”
One of the things she takes pride in the most is the Tam Fam.
“There’s no greater gift than when I walk down the street and people say, ‘Hey, I’m Tam Fam. Hey, Tamron.’ It’s not Tamron Hall. It’s Tam Fam. And that’s intimate,” she said.
The show is hitting it’s stride, as is she.
“Now I’m 55. I’m 55. No matter what you do in life, it takes hard work. This show and our audience, the Tam Fam, my team, we are lucky, but it’s not by chance. But it’s resilience and hard work and caring about other people. That’s what gets you to a season seven. That’s what gets you to the goals in life that you want,” Hall said.
It’s been a journey for the host.
“I’m always looking at ways to evolve as a human, as a parent, as a friend, as a daughter. And the show is no different for me. And so, the evolution of this show is to balance that bigness and that they have the Tam Fam with the intimacy,” she said.
