The Wistoria: Wand and Sword anime’s second season will begin airing in April 2026. A teaser trailer and teaser visual were released with the announcement.
The new season’s main staff credits were also revealed:
• Chief director: Tatsuya Yoshihara (previously director)
• Director: Hideaki Nakano (Devils’ Line)
• Character designer and chief animation director: Sayaka Ono (reprising)
• Music composer: Yuki Hayashi (reprising)
• Animation production: BN Pictures and ACTAS (both returning, but with reversed credit order)

Wistoria: Wand and Sword‘s first season premiered in July 2024 and ran for a cour. The anime is based on the manga written by Danmachi‘s Fujino Omori and drawn by Toshi Aoi. Kodansha USA describes the source material as:
The new, magical dungeon-adventure fantasy series from the author of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Seeking to fulfill a promise to a childhood friend, Will Serfort enters Regarden Magical Academy with the goal of making it to the top of the magical world. The manga began serialization in 2020 in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. There are 13 volumes as of July 2025.
