6 More POC Content Creators You Need to Follow

One of my favorite parts of this gig has been highlighting POC horror content creators. Every list of podcasters, YouTubers, TikTokers, etc., made me the happiest little freelancer in all the land. This is why I wanted to close my tenure at Dread Central out with one more list for the road. I’m back with a new list of content creators you’re going to love.

Come for the recs and reviews, and stay for the intersectional lenses that this genre severely needs.

Horror While Black

Amani and Anthony are a married couple who live for anything horror-related. They do deep dives, reviews, hit up special events, and of course, always have a few hot takes in the chamber. If you find them as entertaining as I do, you can spend more time with them on their YouTube channel.

LT

Whether they are giving you a review, a look, or some horror tea, LT’s Insta is the place to be. Not only are they fun, iconic, and a beloved staple in the horror sphere, but they also know their shit. It is easy to lose an hour on this page because you will find yourself obsessed with the host.

Mike and Serial

Mike has been a supportive staple in the horror community for years. So, we were all excited when they FINALLY grabbed a mic and became one of the hosts of Rise From the Dead. They then joined Voices From The Mausoleum and started doing their own series on their page called Salute Your Shorts dedicated to spotlighting short horror films. If you like found footage and chaotic takes, then you should make sure you’re following Mike.

Sweet ‘N Spooky

Known primarily for her fun YouTube presence, Sweet ‘N Spooky has also started winning over Instagram. Her videos are fun, chill, and honest. Whether she’s here with the correct franchise rankings or sharing her favorite found footage movie, this account is a delight. The host has also been chronically outside lately, so she has photos and videos of festivals and cons that give us FOMO. You should definitely follow this horror girlie now so you can say you knew her when.

Wynter Starks

Wynter proves that you can have a scary time anywhere if you put the work in. Wynter is based in Texas and Arkansas, and good for some horror recommendations and reviews. However, she’ll also go to a haunted house and take her phone with her. So, you never know what you’re going to get from this channel, but you know you are going to watch it to the end.

Yutaka Tamanaha

Yutaka is mostly known for his reaction videos and chaotically fun interviews he hosted on The Horror Hour. However, that group recently disbanded, and Yutaka is gearing up for a pivot. While I cannot even begin to imagine what shenanigans await us as the audience, I know we’re about to have a damn good time. I would use this window to catch up on his previous work, so you can brace yourself for what’s to come.

I also really enjoy watchreelflix but his settings won’t allow me to embed videos. Check out this video where he shares two horror franchises that do not get enough love though.

Let me know if you just found your new favorite content creator on this list over at Bluesky.
