Stray dog gang raped by group of men in Chikkanayakanahalli

The Bellandur police have traced a three-year-old female dog which had allegedly been raped by a group of men at a labour shed near a residential apartment in Chikkanayakanahalli on October 13.

Based on a complaint filed by an animal activist, the police registered an FIR under Prevention of cruelty to Animal Act and also under section 325 ( mischief by killing, poisoning, maiming, or rendering useless any animal) of BNS for further investigation.

According to the complainant, she was feeding the stray dog named Mili regularly and on October 13 night noticed a group of men raping the dog at the labour shed. The dog was missing and later she found after three days with a swelling on her private part .

She approached the Varthur police who later directed her to go to Bellandur police and she filed a complaint on October 18. The police analysed over 25 CCTV cameras in and around the area and traced the dog and with the help of veterinary personnel, subjected the dog for medical examination and collected vaginal swab and sent it to the FSL for further examination to ascertain the crime .

The police are awaiting FSL report to further investigation.
