The Prime Minister has accepted the resignation of Bilal Bin Saqib from his position as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Blockchain and Crypto.
Bilal Bin Saqib was initially appointed as the CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC). Subsequently, he was also entrusted with the federal portfolio of Blockchain and Crypto, serving as SAPM with the status of Minister of State.
According to the Cabinet Division, his name has now been removed from the official list of Ministers of State, Special Assistants to the Prime Minister, and Advisors, indicating that the resignation has been formally processed.
However, despite the cabinet’s updated record, the National Assembly’s official website continues to display Bilal Bin Saqib as SAPM on Blockchain and Crypto, still holding the status of Minister of State.
According to another notification, he has also been appointed chairman of the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, which is now functional and whose rules have also been finalized.
