The LOCA! indie anime short film will be screened at Tokyo’s Shimokita Ekimae Cinema K2 on December 19 JST.
Produced by the student creative group Studio Car-No.3, LOCA! follows two kids in a post-apocalyptic world who stumble across a train. It was featured at Fantasia International Film Festival as part of the event’s Anime no bento 2025 selection, which highlights anime short films.
As listed on Fantasia’s website, Ion Miyamoto and Yuta Uchiya directed the short, with Takeru Kojima credited as writer and producer. Miyamoto (credited as Myano in Japanese) is also credited with unit direction and compositing, while Uchiya (by process of elimination, the person whom the uttama moniker mentioned in the Japanese credits refers to) is also the concept artist and background artist.
