‘IT: Welcome to Derry’ Episode 2 Now Streaming and Opening Credits Sequence Arrives Online

While new episodes of “IT: Welcome to Derry” are typically going to premiere on Sunday nights, the debut season’s second episode has gotten a special early release for Halloween.

“IT: Welcome to Derry” Episode 2 is NOW STREAMING on HBO Max!

The episode will premiere on HBO as scheduled on Sunday, November 2, at 9pm ET.

In celebration of the premiere, HBO has uploaded the show’s opening credits sequence to YouTube, which will be airing ahead of episodes beginning with Episode 2. Watch below.

Serving as an expansion of Andy Muschietti’s IT films based on Stephen King‘s 1986 novel, the first season is set in 1962. Muschietti himself directs multiple episodes.

“Welcome to Derry” will kick off its story in 1962 in the time leading up to the events of It: Chapter One (2017). From there, the planned second and third seasons will jump back in time and take place in their own distinct decades. The series is based on Mike Hanlon’s interludes from King’s book, which document “catastrophic events” from Derry, Maine’s past.

The finale of the first season will premiere on Sunday, December 14.
