It’s not certain what exactly will be happening around Philadelphia at Thanksgiving of 2026. What is almost certain is that for most Philadelphians — while turkey and stuffing are making their way down the digestive track towards the stomach with all of its benefits being released into our bloodstreams as an early evening sleep-aid — we’ll be enjoying some Eagles and Cowboys football from AT&T Stadium. Six weeks prior — we’ll once again see the Eagles and Jaguars in London.

By the mid-1700s — the City of Philadelphia was the second-largest in all of the British Empire — and had become a destination for commerce and trade from around the world. Visitors from across the pond even referred to it as “London in Miniature.” Some of the most important people who helped to start Philadelphia on the journey to become what it is today in the 17th and 18th century — even wanted it to become as large and prestigious as London. We very nearly made it.

The Eagles 2026 schedule includes more than just a Thanksgiving Day Game with the Cowboys and a game in London. The Eagles play the Bengals, Ravens, and Patriots in the heat of the pre-season. They open the season with a re-match of the 2025 NFC Championship Game against the Commanders at the Linc, and a November matchup with the Steelers (the team that nearly had Makai Lemon on their roster.) They even have a game against the 49ers in January — and even play on Christmas Eve.

And in case you were wondering — we’ve done this before. After winning Super Bowl LII in 2018 with English-born Jay Ajayi on the roster — the Eagles traveled to England to play at game against the Jaguars in 2018.
