BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. – Police have identified one of the victims and confirmed additional details following a Friday night crash on Bristol Road in Warrington Township that left three teenagers dead and a fourth critically injured.
What we know:
According to Bucks County’s Warrington Township Police Department, the crash involved a Toyota Camry carrying four teens and a Ford Explorer.
Warrington Township Police say three teenagers have died and another remains in extremely critical condition following a crash late Friday on Bristol Road in Bucks County.
Police say the driver of the Camry, a 15-year-old boy, was killed, along with front-seat passenger Aziz Umidovich Amonov, 18, of Feasterville/Trevose, and a 16-year-old back-seat passenger.
A 14-year-old passenger, also in the rear of the vehicle, remains in critical condition at a Philadelphia hospital and is undergoing surgery, according to police.
Three of the four victims were juveniles, and their names are not being released due to their ages. The driver of the Ford Explorer was not injured.
Police corrected earlier reports, saying the crash was not head-on, but rather a side-angle collision, with the most severe damage on the passenger side of the Camry.
Preliminary findings indicate the Camry was traveling eastbound on Bristol Road when it lost control near a downward crest and crossed into the path of the westbound SUV.
Investigators continue to process the crash scene and interview witnesses. Additional updates are expected once families have been notified and the victims are officially identified.
Community impact
Warrington Police said they are working with local school districts to coordinate grief counseling for students on Monday.
Two of the victims attended Neshaminy High School — one a freshman and the other a senior. The schools of the other two victims have not yet been confirmed.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” police said in a statement. “The Warrington Township Police Department extends its deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and school communities affected by this tragic event.”
In an email from Neshaminy School District Board Member Chris Stanley, he said, “We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the students, as well as to everyone in our school community who is mourning the loss.”
“In the coming days, our counseling staff and other regional resources will be available to support any student or staff member who may need assistance,” Stanley said.
Investigators are continuing to process evidence from the scene and interview witnesses. Additional updates are expected once the crash reconstruction is complete.
