The gathering welcomed many of Horan’s most dedicated New York-based fans for an evening of great food, conversation and unforgettable moments. Guests shared a meal together, connected with fellow fans and had the chance to meet Horan himself as part of the one-of-a-kind dinner party experience.
The multi-platinum singer-songwriter first gained international recognition as a member of One Direction before establishing one of the group’s most successful solo careers. Since then, he has sold more than 90 million records worldwide. His debut solo album, Flicker, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2017 and featured the triple-platinum single “Slow Hands.”
He continued his success with Heartbreak Weather (2020) and The Show (2023), both of which reached the top of Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and the UK Official Albums Chart. After chart success, he embarked on The Show Live on Tour, a global arena tour that drew large audiences across several continents.
Fresh off announcing his sold-out 2027 Dinner Party Tour, with dates across the UK, Europe, and the United States, he has generated tremendous excitement among fans — and his June 8 dinner party was proof of demand. What began as a solo intimate event in Los Angeles was brought to New York City and left fans nationwide wondering whether the concept would expand to additional cities across the country.
The evening began with fans arriving and checking in with Horan’s team before being welcomed with champagne upon entering the restaurant (for guests aged 21 and over). Thanks to Resy, the entire COQODAQ restaurant was reserved exclusively for the event, ensuring the event was attended solely by his fans and team members.
Horan made a stylish entrance, moving through the restaurant and engaging with fans as he made his way to the stage for an intimate Q&A session. Fans had the opportunity to submit questions prior to the event and hear his responses live, creating a memorable and interactive experience.
At one point, he jokingly remarked, “Wow, these are some future journalist questions,” in response to several thoughtful, multi-layered fan questions that prompted him to pause and carefully consider his answers.
Horan laughed with fans when asked about what he’s been listening to lately, saying, “Writing it [the album], mixing it, producing it… people ask me who I’m listening to, and well, it’s me. It’s a lot of me.” He added that he believes the new album will truly shine on tour, noting, “This album will be the best one live, for sure.”
Fans came prepared with a wide range of questions, covering everything from the inspirations behind Dinner Party and the evolution of Horan’s sound to his songwriting process and lyric-writing approach. One fan put him on the spot by asking whether he valued his guitar collection or his golf clubs more — a question that prompted a visibly stressed reaction as he struggled to choose. Another fan took the conversation in a more lighthearted direction, asking Horan to play a game of “FMK” with different types of potatoes, drawing laughs from both the singer and the crowd as he says, “I’m Irish so this is tough…chips, or fries as you call them in the States.”

After the Q&A concluded, Horan took time to pass out signed copies of Dinner Party to every fan in attendance, handing each vinyl directly to guests himself. As dinner service began, he continued making his way around the room, stopping at every table to introduce himself, chat with fans and answer additional questions. The relaxed, intimate atmosphere gave attendees the chance to connect with Horan one-on-one, making the evening feel less like a formal event and more like a gathering among friends at a dinner party.
Of course, no dinner party would be complete without food, and guests were treated to a specially curated menu by COQODAQ. Fans spent the evening getting to know one another, sharing conversation, and enjoying the communal atmosphere of the dinner party experience. Horan continued to circulate throughout the room, engaging with attendees and asking about their experience.

At one point, he even hinted that more events like this could be on the horizon. When asked by a fan if he planned to host additional “Dinner Party” gatherings, he replied, “Anything’s possible.”
