Poetry Postcards: Pages Cafe | Write Out Loud

Poetry Postcards: Pages Cafe | Write Out Loud

A sample of Poetry Postcards printed with my photos and words, to be left on the table at my monthly PoetsCorner@PagesCafe events during 2005-2008, which were open to the public.

My way of spreading poetry to people who may not necessarily seek it…

1: CINQUAIN-No Love

You glow

with love for me.

Accepting all I give,

never questioning if I love.

I don’t.

2. HUSBANDS

Not all bamboo are runners,

some very happily remain

exactly where you put them.

3. CINQUAIN-Never

She lay

prostrate. Waiting.

Will he stay a while when

their beating hearts have calmed down?

Never.

4. DIVORCE

Grown too fat for the vine

achingly warm – full of promise

hand plucked – ready for wine

carefully cut – only to be

rejected.
